Scott Houston, last year's 4A state indoor and outdoor pole vault champion may just be in a class of his own.
Scott's personal record was from last year at the Wake Forest Open where he cleared 15-11. Scott was ranked 2nd on the NC All-Time Indoor List and 2nd on the Outdoor List. However, with his clearance of 16-10 at the Reno Pole Vault Clinic he has shattered the NC record.
The highest vault in state history was 16-3, but now Scott has soared well beyond. he placed 2nd in the meet and now has the #1 mark in NC history and is currently ranked #2 in the US.
