XC Preview: NCISAA 3A By Conference

CISAA Girls

Teams to Watch

Providence Day prides themselves on continuing to dominate their conference meet year in and year out, and the database say they're in position to do that again. Cannon School and Covenant Day are both technically within striking range, but may find themselves battling for second place unless they can develop more depth.

Athletes to Watch

Jena Metwalli (Cannon School) ran away from the field and never looked back at the CISAA conference meet last fall, and this year she will look to do the same. She showed tremendous improvements on the track last spring clocking 2:14 for 800 and 5:10 for 1600. Covenant Day might lack depth right now, but they do have some firepower up front, led by Cameron Echols. Keep an eye on Kiera Dowell (Charlotte Latin), who broke 12 for the 3200 in the spring. Finally, don't forget about Claire Landis (Providence Day) - she struggled with injury all last year, but has run 18:49 and 11:08 in the past.
