Whether you head out to Meredith College in Raleigh to experience one of the coolest track meets in the country in person, or watch the live stream on FloTrack, you win!
Tonight, the 3rd edition of the Sir Walter Miler event takes place in Raleigh, and it will be the biggest version yet. That's saying quite a bit after the attention paid to the last two meets! The 2013 Sir Walter Miler caught national attention when posted on FloTrack after the event, and in 2014 the race's organizers turned it into a carnival, a giant party that started before the meet and continued well afterward. The actual mile races come with a Sir Walter Miler signature: the spectators are brought onto the track.to cheer the competitors' every step. In addition, the 2014 meet added another very important aspect - what began the year before solely as the pursuit of the 4:00 mile, widened its appeal by supporting the women striving for the equally-challenging 4:30 mark.
The 2015 Sir Walter Miler has expanded to four races, and will also be streamed live by FloTrack for anyone who can't be at Meredith College in person on Friday night. One way or another, you should be celebrating track & field with us tonight!
