NCRUNNERS.com Preseason Coaches Poll

TC Roberson, which has won 8 of the last 10 state titles, received most of the first place votes. The girls 3A, at least by coach’s opinions, looks to be the most wide open race this season. Asheville, who returns a very solid group of girls led by Cara Hayes, will be tough. Reagan also returns a great team on paper. These two teams were very close in the votes just as they were last year at the state meet, separated by only 2 points. Look for Jacksonville to possibly mix it up with the top 3 as they return 3 girls who have run under 20:25.
