The second annual David Oliver Classic is already threatening to exceed the quality of the first edition, and we're still recruiting athletes from all over the Southeast. A new wave of invitations will be going out this week, and the response so far has been so strong that the meet director is going to allow extra sections of the Elite events - we will be going to semifinals and finals in the 60 Dash and 60 Hurdles, adding a third section of the Elite 400, and may even add a second section to each Elite Mile! Check out a few examples of the loaded Elite events below.
Did I mention that David Oliver himself, a World Champion hurdler, will be in attendance at the meet to interact with athletes and coaches? Entry into the Elite events is free for those who are invited, and athletes can also join the full slate of standard events over the two days of the invitational (entries for the standard events are through Direct Athletics).
