2 North Carolina Athletes Selected to Team USA

Both athletes have had stellar 2007 years so far. They have been selected to compete at the IAAF World Youth Championships on July 11-15.

 

Dylan owns the fastest time in NC in both the 1600 and the 800, 4:14.12 & 1:51.48. He recently won both events at the NCHSAA 4A State Championships. Dylan is also ranked 8th nationally in the 800 and is looking to break 1:50 at the Nike Outdoor Championships.

 

Wayne Davis II ended the indoor season by breaking Johnny Dutch's sophomore National Record in the 60m hurdles. Davis ran 7.83 to finish 3rd in the country and break Dutch's record by 7 hundredths of a second. Davis finished 4th at the NCHSAA 4A Championships but was  apart of the fastest 110HH race in the country thus far. The only place to see a faster race may be at the Nike Outdoor Championships at NC A&T this June. His time ranks him in the top 15 Nationally this season.
