Congratulations to all North Carolina high school athletes that participated in this past weekend's 4A and 2A State Championships as well as those participants in the previous weekend's 1A and 3A State Championships. If you are still hungry for competition in the post-season and looking to try your luck against some of Virginia's best athletes in an elite post-season meet, please consider making the trip to Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, June 9th for the 2nd annual MileStat.com Elite Track Gala. We should have some stacked fields in both the sprints and field events as well as some unique distance races of the 2K steeplechase, 5000 meter run, and 1500 meter run. There is also an All-Star DMR at the tail end of the meet, which if is there enough interest and numbers among North Carolina athletes, a relay from the Tar Heel state could be formed for the meet. Register online for the meet by Thursday, May 31st online at http://www.hocorunning.com/meetmanager/login.php . Email the meet director at milestat@gmail.com prior in order to receive a 5 digit code to make entries for the meet. Entry fee is $15 per athlete (regardless of # of events) prior to Thursday, May 31st. There is a late entry window after Thursday, May 31st with a $10 late fee associated and a FINAL deadline of both entry fee and online registration received by Tuesday, June 5th.
