Marley Burns & Dakota Lowery!
Marley Burns of Carolina Day posted a very good time early in the season at the 49er Classic over 5000 meters. She broke 18:00 and looked poised to post some solid times in the 1600 and 3200. At the Dogwood Classic in Virginia, she did just that. Marley ran 10:55.72 to finish 2nd in the meet.
Dakota Lowery of West Johnston was the top 1600/miler during the indoor season. He traveled all over trying to improve his times. He easily won the boy's 1600 at the 4A state championship, running a 30 second last quarter. Dakota won the 1600 at the Dogwood Classic with an impressive time of 4:14.13.
