Cardinal Gibbons: The Crusaders have their strength exactly where you would expect it - in the distance races. Sophie Ebihara (1000, 1600, 3200), Mary Grace Doggett (1000, 1600, 3200), Rachel Bartolomeo (1000, 1600) and Megan Vaughn (1600, 3200) rack up huge points in the virtual meet, but there's no way they can run all those races at their best. Expect them to be distributed in two races each, plus of course the 4x800; the hard choice will be Ebihara, who can run very well in either the 1000 or the 3200, but probably not both. On the other hand, Doggett is seeded 5th in the 3200, and she will very likely improve on that finish. Will they stay in all three just to grind out the points? That's a strategy that could backfire if anyone's legs are too tired to produce in the 32...
