Saturday, January 13th at the Eddie Smith Field House on the University of Chapel Hill campus, some of the states top high school athletes will be competing with college athletes.
Last year's USATF Jr. champions, Gabby Mayo (SE Raleigh), Patience Coleman (So. Durham), and Kamorean Hayes (Harding) will be competing indoors for the first time this season. They aren't new to high caliber meets as all have participated in the biggest meets for kids their age. These girls have competed at Nike Outdoor Nationals, USATF Junior Championships, USATF Youth Championships, Caribbean Scholastic Invitational, Russell E. Blunt East Coast Invitational, USATF National Junior Olympic Championships, & IAAF World Junior Championships in Beijing, China.
Other top NC athletes will also be competing alongside college athletes on Saturday. They indclude:
