A few notes about these rankings. First, these reflect where I think the teams are right now, not where I think they will be at the end of the year. Second, these are drawn only from this season's performances, not from returning times. Finally, although they are heavily influenced by statistics, that was not the only factor that went into them; head-to-head match-ups and even gut feeling played a part.
In both the boys and girls rankings, the teams have been divided into three tiers. The top tier contains the teams that have clearly separated themselves from the rest this season. The second tier is for teams that have shown promise, but might not have gotten it all together yet. The third tier is for good teams that have not really distinguised themselves yet. The third tier is still a bit of a jumbled mess, as the season is young and many teams may not have had equal opportunity to show their strength. I expect the teams in the last group will sort themselves out better by the next ranking.
