NCISAA State Championship Preview: 6 State Titles Are Up For Grabs

NCISAA 1A Boys

Last years top 3 including superstar Quinn Schneider (Woodlawn School) have graduated.  Schneider was dominant the last two years, and the NCISAA 1A will crown a new individual champion tomorrow.  Jackson Stone (Greenfield School) holds a seasons best of 17:37, though it's the only race he's run this year.  He raced once last year, but didn't run at the NCISAA State Championships, so it's a question if he'll show up tomorrow.  Cole Attwood (Wayne Country Day) is the top returner with a 4th place finish in 2016. Atwood ran 17:28 at CPIC Championships likely making him the favorite tomorrow.  Connor Bauer (Wayne Country Day) and Tripp Berini (Woodlawn) will also be in the mix and will look to break 18 tomorrow.

Behind Atwood and Bauer it's going to be hard for anyone to beat Wayne Country Day.  With 1A only scoring 3 runners and adding Brandon Talton to the mix they'll be tough to beat.  Woodlawn School won last year, and this year have Berini and Jackson McGeough, but lack a third runner.  Wayne Country Day will likely have 5 runners in before other schools have a third finish.  We'll see how things play out tomorrow!
