Emma Fredericks (Northern Guilford)
As a freshman Fredericks had a solid cross country season running 19:32 at the end of the year. She just kicked off her season last Tuesday at Guilford County's where she took the win running 19:07, a year ago she clocked 23:11 at the same meet. Fredericks showed a breakthrough was coming last outdoor track season when she ran 5:23 in the full Mile at Dennis Craddock Carolina Relays. I think Fredericks has potential to go under 18:30 this fall and contend for a top 10 spot in 3A after finishing 22nd in 2016.
