The Elite Girls 60 Hurdles lived up to the hype with a battle that went down to the wire, but it was another short event that stole the show on Saturday afternoon.
The 2016 David Oliver Classic has come and gone, and it was incredible! The meet produced 276 MileSplit National Elite performances as well as two US #1 times and a host of state leaders and all-time marks within the North Carolina records. The two-day event also marks the end of the regular season in our state, and that adds a few layers of intrigue to the proceedings: at least two star athletes still needed to qualify in one of their primary events, while several were simply looking to improve seeding or make a statement going into next weekend's state championship. No matter which way you look at it, the meet was special!
