Senior Spotlight: Elizabeth Olesen

The Hickory Ridge senior has her sights set on the six-foot mark this season, and she talks about the changes she's made to her training to make that happen.

It's very rare to find an athlete that is already zeroed in not just on her sport, but on her specific event, before she even enters high school - but that's exactly how it was for Elizabeth Olesen. You won't see a more specialized athlete state page than hers (check the link below) - she quite literally has not recorded a single performance in any event except the high jump since her first results hit MileSplit in 2011! Once you hear about her family's background, though, it all makes sense. She's also a little shy, but she did talk about her goals and the changes she's made to her training this season, as well as her current obstacle in what is arguably the most technically difficult of the track & field events.
