Well over 200 teams will be in competition at 5 meets this weekend, including nearly 100 at WakeMed, where Philip Hall won last year.

When I say that things are getting bigger this weekend, I mean that literally and figuratively. Literally, because there are 3 huge invitationals taking place on Saturday, plus two other mid-sized meets. Figuratively, because we're getting to the heart of the invitational season, and teams are going to be shifting their focus from training to racing as they fix their eyes on conference and postseason goals. Plus this is the last weekend before NCRunners publishes the first All-Classes Rankings of the 2014 season, and we all know that everyone wants to be in the best possible position for those! (Yes, I am just kidding about that.) Finally, from this weekend until conference meets begin, there is a large meet of historical importance within North Carolina on the schedule every weekend. NCRunners is also kicking it into a higher gear, putting up team coverage at two meets this weekend, plus solo coverage at a third - check out the lineup below:
