I have a confession to make: I have grown to hate the process of developing subjective, opinion-based rankings. There are so many variables to consider that it becomes almost impossible to differentiate any two closely-ranked runners, unless you limit yourself by setting narrow criteria ahead of time. I have a plan for what I want to do next year, but until then I am going to stick with a simple snapshot from the database. That means these rankings are solely based on times submitted to MileSplit, without any consideration for competition, weather, or course difficulty.
