Girls Discus
Veronica Fraley (Wakefield, NC) and Tedreauna Britt (Woodland, SC) have both well exceeded the girls discus meet record set by Raven Saunders (Burke HS, SC) back in 2014 of 159-11. Fraley holds a seasons best of 171-10 and Britt holds a season-best of 162-6 and overall PR of 170-2.
Fraley has been in her peak discus form already in the discus already breaking her state record and throwing over 160 feet three times already. This will be her first big test of the year as it's certainly rare to find athletes who can throw as far as she can. This is going to be an exciting matchup to watch as both girls should be able to break the meet record Saturday.
