Prior to the existence of JDL Fast Track, the only indoor track meet in North Carolina for high schools was the Eastern High School Challenge. It still brings elite competition to UNC's Eddie Smith Field House.
Unfortunately due to construction, UNC is moving their outdoor track to a new location and the Eastern High School Challenge will go on a one year hiatus and will make its return in 2019. The outdoor track is being moved across campus and is causing a lot of construction at the indoor track entrance, which would make the meet very difficult to put on.
So this year your only true indoor track meets in North Carolina will be at JDL Fast Track. JDL hosts high school meets nearly every weekend and very frequently during the weekdays throughout the indoor season.

Virginia Tech indoor meets are cancelled this year as well with a new Rector Field House opening in 2019.
Liberty University (VA) will also likely host more indoor meets this winter now that the track is fully ready to operate, including The VA Showcase, which was the biggest meet in the country last year.
