Will We See A New NCHSAA 1A Girls Individual Champion In 2017?

Last fall Michaela Gammon won the NCHSAA 1A girls individual title as a sophomore.  We're about halfway through the 2017 season and we are yet to see Gammon debut and plenty of girls have stepped up to pose as threats for her in defending her title.  Kathleen Burroughs (Granville Central) and Caitlyn Burkett (Franklin Academy) have both run low 19s already this fall and if we end up seeing Gammon in November we could see an intense 3-way individual battle!
