There Is No Clear Favorite For Boys The NCHSAA 1A Individual Crown

With last years state champion and runner up graduating last fall the race for the NCHSAA 1A Individual Title looked to be wide open in heading into the season.  At the midway through the season no boy has established himself as a clear favorite, though Jake Baugher (CSD) and Drew Sink (Lincoln Charter) have been very impressive early on and rank #1 and #2 in the state for this classification.  1A might be the only boys classification with a underclassman winning an individual title this fall.
