Boys Relays
4x200m Relay
North Brunswick are the defending champions in this event and have a strong chance to repeat this weekend as they have a season's best mark of 1:29.40. Their best indoor mark was at the Eastern Challenge where they ran 1:32.46. Croatan is the closest to North Brunswick on an indoor track as they ran 1:34.46 and are the second seed in this event. Positioning is key to running a fast mark on a 4x200 indoors as it is tough to pass on the 50m straightaways. If anyone can get out harder than North Brunswick they might struggle to get a pass back in.
4x400m Relay
Croatan enters with the fastest time of the season running 3:28.58, which is 8 seconds faster than 2nd seed Hendersonville. Parkwood holds an outdoor mark of 3:35.40, but is entered with a 3:45 mark and it looks like they'll miss out of the final heat. Croatan has a load of strong middle distance runners and will be looking to put on a dominating performance in the final event of the day. They most ceratinly will be eyeing Northeastern meet record of 3:29.67.
4x800m Relay
It looks to be a battle between Croatan and Brevard as they have the fastest two seeds but 10 seconds over the rest of the field of 8:34.03 and 8:35.24. But most teams normally rise to the occasion in this event and through down big seasons best at the state championships. Brevard does have two strong legs in Noah Graham and Andrew Robinson which could be key in this battle. Grraham has an 800 PR of 1:58 which could be huge on the anchor leg. Croatan will need to build a big lead heading into anchor leg if they want to hold off Graham from charging them down late in the race.
