Nevada Mareno (Leesville Road) and Connor Lane (Cardinal Gibbons) rightfully earn State MVP!
Mareno won with nearly half of the votes cast for her earning 47.74 percent of the vote! Sloan Walter (Cardinal Gibbons) was the closest to Mareno as she earned 19.21 percent of the vote, followed by Emme Fisher with 12.43 percent of the vote. It's nearly impossible to argue against Mareno being the girls MVP as she went nearly undefeated throughout the cross country season with her only loss being a second place finish at Foot Locker Nationals. After two dominant XC seasons, Mareno will go down as one of the best, if not the best, cross country runners in state history!
