With no new major XC programs moving up, and schools like Mt. Tabor and East Chapel Hill moving down to 3A, 4A gets slightly less difficult next year.  Green Hope returns the majority of their top 7 and will be a major force in the county next season.  Broughton loses 3 of their top 7, but there is no way you can count them out of contending for a title, ever.  In just 3 years after their school has been opened, Apex Friendship has proven to be great on the XC course.  Next year will be their first senior class, and they rank 3rd in the returning rankings, narrowly behind powerhouse Broughton.
