App State Team Camp #2 Recap




In a week filled with team bonding, Ultimate Frisbee, sack races, and dancing all the teams had their sights set on Thursday's 2 Mile Camp race.



Boys: Full Results

The front power of R.J. Reynolds showed in this race with John Tatter taking the win in 9:54 and teammate Todd Holbrook only two seconds behind in second. However, it was Chapel Hill using their strong pack to best R.J. Reynolds as they finished as the top North Carolina school, (Chiles from Tallahassee, Florida was the overall team winner.) Chapel Hill, led by Nat Romaine who placed 7th, had only a 27 second spread from their 1-5 runners, and a 6 second spread from their 3-5 runners showing that Chapel Hill's pack is as strong as ever. Jamie Witmer of Hoggard placed 6th and was the 3rd runner from North Carolina in a time of 10:11.



Girls: Full Results

The Chapel Hill Lady Tigers dominated this race placing their top five runners in the top 15 overall. Chapel Hill also totaled 13 medals from their girls, (top 50 in race received medals.)
Katherine Dokholyan was the top finisher for Chapel Hill placing 2nd overall and her teammates Anna Stouffer (8th), Clare McNamara (9th), Madi Marvin (10th), and Maggie Springer (15th) were not far behind. The overall individual winner was Jodi Tolarchyk from Hickory High School in Chesapeake, Virginia finishing in 11:39. Mariah Howlett of Lake Norman Charter School finished 3rd overall, Lindsey Lanier of Providence finished 5th overall, and Janay Hall of South View finished 6th overall.
