Tavis Bailey 2nd Discus AL Brown HS 2010, University of Tennessee

Bailey competed in the Discus qualifying on July 7th and almost missed making the final until his third throw where he solidified his spot with a throw on 197-5 (60.17m) to have him sitting in 6th place heading into the final.  In the 8 man final Baileys first throw out of 6 ended up being his best.  He threw 202-0 (61.57) to put him in the silver medal spot at the time.  Bailey wasn't able to improve on his throw, but neither was anyone else, and he walked away with a silver medal and a trip to Rio!


Ronnie Ash 2nd 110 Hurdles Knightdale HS 2007, Oklahoma University, adidas

Ash was able to survive the 110 Hurdle prelims and semi-finals, he was the fastest qualifier in the prelims and semi-final with times of 13.39 and 13.34 respectively.  The men's 110 hurdles are one of the USA's strongest event and hardest teams to make.  Collegian Devon Allen pulled away from the field and Ash was able to narrowly hold onto seco...
