
Former Alexander Central star Alex Griggs has become quite the runner for Mars Hill. Mars Hill is a powerhouse program in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region. They currently have won 19 straight conference championships, and have been led by Griggs over his tenure at the school. Griggs has been to DII XC Nationals twice, once as an individual in 2012, and last year with his team. He has started off the season well, and took won the Wingate Bulldog Stampede over many of his regional foes. Griggs has high expectations and all seasons of eligibility left as a 5th year at Mars Hill. We caught up with him and talked about his running career.
