Philip Hall took command of the boys race late and finished strong, while the top 6 places in the team scores went to NC schools.
North Carolina is being invaded! Starting with this weekend and continuing for at least 3 weeks, out-of-state teams are coming to run on three of our legendary courses. It started with an incursion at WakeMed of teams from north of our border, with Virginia, Maryland, and even Pennsylvania schools all showing up at WakeMed with the intention of defeating the best from the Tar Heel State. North Carolina did very well in defending the home turf, especially on the boys' side, and the high level of competition led to strong individual and team performances that will reshape the upcoming All Classes Rankings. Plus, all of those out-of-state teams got a fantastic taste of how good the weather can be in North Carolina, with cooler temperatures and low humidity providing a nearly perfect environment for racing.
