Despite the woodsy stretches, the Weddington course runs fast when the weather is cool, like the forecast says for Saturday.
Weekend 5 promises to bring much cooler weather, and it couldn't come at a better time. That's because 2 of the invitationals this weekend are being run on very difficult courses (Carolina Horse Park and the new Sugg Farm Park course in Holly Springs). Even Weddington's course is known to run fast in cool weather, but seems to slow down dramatically when the temperature goes up. If the forecast holds true, we can expect better times out of all three of those meets. Once again, NCRunners spreads out to cover three meets this weekend, a trend that will continue at least one more week.
