This Week's Nominees:
Chase McCullough, Hickory Ridge (North Carolina): Swept both throwing events at the App State High School Meet with a discus throw of 189-2 and a shot put of 55-6.5. His discus mark was the top throw among 67 competitors this week, while his shot put ranked second among 92 throwers.
Alijah Monroe, West Cabarrus (North Carolina): Clocked 10.28 to win the 100 meters at the For All The Dawgs Invitational, breaking his PR of 10.40 set last July at the USATF National Jr Olympic Championships. His time topped a field of 62 sprinters and beat state #10-ranked Jordon McNeill.
Jordon McNeill, Southwest Guilford (North Carolina): Put up two PRs at the For All The Dawgs Invitational, winning the 400 meters in 47.40 and running 10.67 in the 100 meters. The top-ranked 400-meter runner in the state improved his 100-meter PR from 10.73, set last April.
Nyan Brown, Mallard Creek (North Carolina): Won the 300m hurdles at the Bojangles Blazer Twilight Invitational in 36.70, breaking his PR of 37.06 from the NCHSAA 4A West Regional last May. His time led all 60 hurdlers competing this week.
