The biggest question coming into this weekend did not involve any runners or teams; rather, it was about the nature of the new Airport Course for the Seahawk Invitational.  We knew the course was flat, but would it be smooth and have good footing?  There were definitely some rough areas, which is to be expected from a brand-new course.  Of course, the periods of heavy rain made the going tougher, as well, but nonetheless the results were fast up front; also, the course is twistier than you would expect, doubling back on itself a few times on the back half of the loop.  If the city of Wilmington will get behind it and grade the course the way Kernersville did at Ivey Redmon, then it has the potential to be incredibly fast (although the approach to the finish needs some rethinking, as it requires two ma...
