The Phoenix High School Classic did not disappoint with big times, throws, and jumps as predicted. 24 national elite marks early in the season proved that these North Carolina athletes have been training hard and are race-ready, despite the disruptive weather we have experienced in the past month.

 

Girls Summary:

The short distances produced several notable performances, thanks to the temperate conditions, the relaxed schedule, and the agile competition. Phillip O. Berry High School demonstrated their talent and depth in every short distance event of the day, scoring 2 and 3 girls in the 200m and 100m, respectively, and placing first and second in the 400m.
