- Boys Championship - Kai Wilmot (North Central) took advantage of the icy cold conditions to power away with the boys title in 15:00. Stockdale miler Blake Haney proved he can run anywhere by finishing 2nd in 15:09. Tanner Anderson (North Central) finished 3rd in 15:10, just ahead of Cerake Geberkidane (Denver East) in the same time. Gig Harbor (WA) surprised all to win the boys team crown with 111 points overChristian Brothers Academy (NJ) in 2nd with 139 points. Brentwood (TN) finished 3rd with 174 points.
- Girls Championship - Alexa Efraimson (Camas) powered away from Elise Cranny (Niwot) and SarahBaxter (Simi Valley) late in the race as they finished in that order with times of 16:50, 16:54 and 16:58. Wayzata (MN) won the girls title with a big upset of Fayetteville-Manlius by a score of 108 to 120. The result was the first loss for Fay-Man in the last 8 years. Davis (UT) finished 3rd overall with 157 points.

Parkland's girls won the team championship 108 - 81 over E.C. Glass (VA). The Mustangs were led by Ebony Williams, who won the 55 hurdles in 8.35 and the 300 in 42.21, and Erin Morrison, who took the 55 dash in 7.40 and the 500 in 1:21.12. Parkland also won the 4x200 in 1:45.79 and finished second in the 4x400 in 4:25.01.

Kayla Moore (Cummings) got her official high school career off to a strong start by winning the long jump (17' 4.25") and triple jump (36' 9"). She also finished a VERY close second to Williams in the 55 hurdles, clocking 8.36. That's outstanding for a freshman, but then it runs in her family - her big brother is some guy named Isaiah.

Asheville's boys finished third, highest of any North Carolina team, and only two points behind second-place Liberty Christian (Blacksburg won with a load of distance runners, scoring 82). Clay Alspaugh won the 500 in 1:10.23, and Mekhi McGuyver finished third in the triple jump (45' 7.25") and fourth in the high jump (5' 10") to lead the depth points. Good race for Noah Shore, who clocked 4:34 in the 1600 for fourth place, and Asheville also finished third in the 4x400.

Isaiah Moore (Cummings) had his usual amazing kind of day, winning the 55 hurdles in 7.37 and the long jump with a 23' 8.25" mark. Moore also finished 2nd in the high jump, clearing 6' 6". It's obviously very early in the indoor season, and many states haven't even begun competing yet, but Moore is the national leader in both the 55 hurdles and the long jump.
