Lexi King's dominating run was the best performance on NC soil yesterday, but there are many other highlights to check out.

Featured Meet: Weddington Invitational (Weddington HS, Weddington)

Coverage

Highlights

  • Freshman Lexi King equalled the meet and course record, clocking 18:29 to win by 32 seconds.

  • King's Marvin Ridge teammates had her back, too, as they put 3 more girls into the top 10 for a 28-83 win over North Lincoln.

  • Speaking of teammates, North Lincoln's Andrew Fea and Ryan Shannon went wire-to-wire in first and second place.

  • That wasn't enough to take the team win, though, as R.J. Reynolds brought in their 2-5 runners together, all in the top 15 and under 16:55, for the win.
