The Mustang Indoor squads wrapped up the regular season on Saturday at the JDL Fasttrack. This year has been a very successful one for the Mustang teams. Qualifiying for the Indoor State Championships are:

That's 5 consecutive Piedmont Triad Conference Championships by the Lady Mustangs. Yesterday at the High Point Athletic Complex the Mustang ladies won a close victory. This wasn't expected as a tremendous senior class graduated last year. However, the returning veterans along with a strong freshmen class got the job done and continued the streak. This season Parkland Mustang track athletes overcame cold conditions, limited practice time, and UNC renovations to qualify for the "indoor" state meet. The state championship will be held Feb. 12th at Reid Ross Classical School in Fayetteville, NC.

Jessica Morgan captured the 4A State Championship in long jump on Saturday. She helped lead a strong senior class to a 7th place team finish and a 4A Midwest Regional Runner-Up the week prior. Other top finishes for the Mustangs were the 4x200 Relay (3rd) and the 4x100 Relay (4th).
The boys' 4x200 had a strong run to finish 3rd overall.
The Parkland Mustangs Track teams won the Piedmont Triad Conference on Thursday night. This was the 4th consecutive conference title for the girls.
