Meet Information Sheet

Welcome to the 2011 City-County Meet hosted by Southern Alamance! We are excited to have you here and want to make this the best meet possible. Here are a few things you should know in order for the meet to run smoothly.

Entry Lists
Entries will need to be emailed in by 6:00pm on Friday, March 25th. The entries will need to be submitted by a spreadsheet with athletes first and last names, along with their grade classification. Each school can enter 3 athletes per individual event and one team per relay event.

Scratches
We will have a scratch meeting at 3:00 PM. All scratches must be made at the meeting or prior to meet day competition. Any athlete that misses an event that they are entered in that has not been scratched will be disqualified from the remainder of the meet.

Clerking
All running events will check in at the clerking area. Athletes should check in on the 1st or 2nd call. Once checked in, heats will be set up and the athletes will be led out to the track from the clerking area. No one should be on the infield unless they are in the warm-up area.

Scoring Procedures
We will be taking 6 to the finals in the sprints and scoring 6 places (10-8-6-4-2-1). We will have prelims for the sprint races. In the field events, each athlete will get three attempts and there will be no finals. There will be 2 flights for each field event. The field events will be seeded in reverse order with the worst going first and the best going last.

At the conclusion of the meet, we will give team awards to the top two Mens and Womens teams and Most Outstanding Male and Female Athlete of the Meet awards based on points.

Team Areas
The home side is designated for all spectators to enjoy the event. Please do not set up tents on the home side of the stadium as it obstructs the view of those trying to view the homestretch. Tents may be set up on the visitors side bleachers, or in any of the grassy areas of the stadium. Please do not set up your team area inside the flagging around the field events.

Parking, Spectators & Concessions
Bus parking will be on the band field behind the school where the practice football fields are located. The team entrance will be the gate going into the football stadium. Spectators are expected to park in the lot at the front of campus, not where the team entrance is located. The cost for spectators to attend the meet is $5.00 and the concession stand will be open. No passes allowed unless they are ABSS or NCCA passes.
