Meet Information
You and your team are invited to compete in the annual Asheville Christian Academy Invitational Varsity Cross Country meet on Wednesday, September 23. The meet will be held on our campus in Swannanoa. There will be an entry fee of $60 per school which covers both boys and girls, regardless of the number of runners, or $30 for one team. Individual runners must represent their school and pay $15 each. Public, private and/or home school teams are welcome. Please make checks payable to ACA (memo: Cross Country meet) and mail to PO Box 1089, Swannanoa, NC 28778 Attn: ACA Athletics.
Entry process: In order to enter please contact Jason Ingle at Jason.ingle@acalion.org to notify the school of your intent. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis until the maximum is reached, after which you will be notified when event is full.
Team must enter at www.bigkanhunatiming.com between Monday, September 8 and Monday, September 21. A complete list of teams will be posted regularly. Be sure to click on the high school meet as we are also hosting a middle school meet the day before, September 22.
Course: The course is similar to the one used in the past, with a couple of small changes. Course is 3.10 miles (5000 meters).
Course Walk: Teams may walk/jog the course between 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. Soccer and baseball fields are off limits to all runners and spectators. Your cooperation is appreciated. Rest rooms and drinking water are available at the field house located immediately behind the baseball diamond.
Awards: Medals will be given to the top 10 finishers in the varsity mens and womens races only
Schedule: Mens race: 4:30 p.m. Womens race: 5:00 p.m. The mens and womens varsity races will be limited to 10 runners/team/race. Awards Ceremony: 6:15 p.m.
