NO ENTRY FEE - 1 mile loops, alternating runners, 2-3 loops each.
This cross country relay will give runners a fun race experience to wrap up the early season and head into the holiday weekend. It will be a great chance for kids to get ready for faster race paces by doing multiple legs over a shorter distance, and beat the heat with built in water breaks!
A Hokum Karem relay is a cross country race where two runners take turns running loops of approximately a mile. We will have varsity and JV divisions. All teams will start together, with varsity teams running six loops (three loops per runner) and JV teams running four loops (two loops per runner). Coaches' discretion on which runners to put in varsity or JV, but please try limit varsity teams to pairs that can combine to finish in under 60 minutes. Scores in the varsity division will based on finish place of a school's top three relays. If you have an odd number of runners, we will make an arrangement to let the extra runner compete.

Girls - 6:15
Please contact Coach Honea at david.honea@bcsemail.org if you want to run. Given the size of the course we want to limit the number of relay teams starting each race to around 50-60, so we need an estimate of how many you might bring.
