Meet Information
THE MEET IS CAPPED. WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY MORE TEAMS DUE TO COURSE CONSTRAINTS.
The course is a rolling mix of wooded trails and fields. The first loop is right around 2 miles & the second lap follows the first half of the first loop. There's one short, steep hill you run twice & another that's long and not as steep. It's what many would consider "true cross country." The course seems somewhat challenging to most runners but times are generally not much different from those at McAlpine in cool weather. Times in the heat can be ugly, but it's cross country... In 2013, we made a slight change to the course, shortening a couple of sections lengthening the finish nearly 200m. It is wheel measured to 5K. Here's a link to the course map:

Buses should park at Weddington Middle School. Spectators can park at WHS. No one should park down the gravel road off Deal Rd or along the Elementary School driveway. Packets can be picked up at the stadium.
T-Shirts will be on sale for $14.

9:00 AM- Varsity High School Girls (7 per team)
9:30 AM- Varsity High School Boys (7 per team)
10:00 AM- JV High School Girls
10:30 AM- JV High School Boys
11:20 AM- Awards
Last year, we added this 2nd combined genders JV race because of the limitations on our course. We can't fit more than about 180 runners on the course at once very easily. JV results will be compiled as if it were 1 race per gender.
Awards in Varsity races only, to top 2 teams & 10 individuals. Entries are $40/girls team & $40/boys team.

Entries will be done on: www.athletic.net and the deadline is Tuesday, September 9 at 8:00 PM. We have a cap of 25 teams & will take the first 25 teams who reserve a spot.
