From the mountains to the beach (literally), a large slate of invitationals helps teams position for the postseason.
There are two weekends left in the regular season, and athletes are really starting to round into shape for the postseason. Conference meets begin next week for 1A & 2A schools, and before you know it, regionals will be upon us. That's why it's so much fun to watch as competitors put up strong performances in May, jockeying for seed position in the big races and making statements to their competiton in other areas of the state. This weekend features several good meets, and by Sunday we should know a lot more about where the top athletes (and teams) stand.
