Continuing with the theme off lesser-known runners who are great teammates and should get more recognition, this week our focus settles on Cannon School senior Tim Gruber. Though slightly overshadowed by the superstar runners that have come out of the NCISAA the past few years, Tim is one of those guys who is happy just because he gets to run. He is also very team-oriented, and he seems to maintain the proper perspective on his running career (even though his senior season was derailed by an injury at the worst possible time). Tim is a "cross country first" kind of runner, and he has been extremely competitive in the fall with a PR of 15:45.90, but he has managed to put up some really strong track times, too (especially 9:37 for 3200).
