Ohio native Katie Nageotte added to her international hardware count on Sunday at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Nageotte, a 2009 graduate of Olmsted Falls and the reigning Olympic champion, struck pole vault gold once again by successfully clearing 4.85 meters (15-9).
Her mark stands as a tie for world lead this year, a distinction she shares with American teammate Sandi Morris, who joined Nageotte on the podium in Eugene with her silver medal winning performance.
