Maya Singletary 400m Dash 53.77
Maya Singletary (Hoke County) set a new PR and NC#1, US#13 400 of 53.77 at the NCHSAA 4A Mideast Regional. Singletary was certainly a known star in the 400 after running 54.09 as a junior. After being in the 54s for two years she's finally broken through the barrier and run 53.77. Singletary's mark is also good for a new a new NC#5 All-Time mark for North Carolina HS girls!
She'll have a big battle this weekend with Kyna Robinson (Southeast Raleigh) who edged her at the line in the 500 at indoor states running the fastest two 500s in NC history. Singletary will also compete in the 200 individually after winning the 4A Mideast region Saturday in 24.54.
