Boys 110mH

Raymonte Dow (High Point Central) was impressive in the hurdles at the Bojangles Classic taking 4th in the 110 hurdles and 2nd in the 400mH.  Dow looks to be a heavy favorite in the 300mH later in the day, but has a matchup brewing with Ellijah Gaddy (Forest Hills).

Girls 100m Dash

Briana Jordan (Unattached) had a huge indoor season running 6.99 in the 55m Dash early in the season.  We haven't seen her this outdoor season, but I'm expecting huge things in her outdoor debut.  Her PR is 12.24, but look for her to go under 12 seconds tomorrow.  Leah Bolden (High Point Central) had a strong indoor season taking 6th at the NCHSAA 4A Indoor State Championships, but is still looking for a breakthrough outdoors.  Her PR on the season is 12.59, but I expect faster than that tomorrow. Also watch out for Leonie Kluwig (Hoke County) who clocked a 12.13 this week!  Should be an awesome 200 final as well with these girls in it!

Boys 100m Dash

Dontavian Smith (Person), Anthony Neal (Southeast Guilford), Ahmad Ellis (Berry Academy), Dante Miller (Richmond Senior) and Bernie Briley (Bunker Hill) headline this field which will feature 5 prelim heats and an 8 man final.  Smith holds a PR of 10.58 and is certainly one of the top 100m runners in the state.  This will be Smith's first real race of the season.  Neal is having a great sophomore season with a 10.75 PR, but hasn't broken 11 since.  Dante Miller (Richmond Senior) has run just once this season and has clocked a 10.89.  He holds a PR of 10.67 and certainly has big things to come.  Watch for these guys in the 200 as well as most are doubling back.

Girls 1600

Mariah Howlett (Lake Norman Charter) and Kate Eiselt (Myers Park) both are hungry to break 5 minutes in the 1600.  Howlett's having a massive track season with Eiselt of having a big indoor season taking 2nd at the NCHSAA 4A Indoor Championships and running 5:05 for the full Mile.  Also lookout for Izzy Evely (Lake Norman Charter) who focuses more on the 800 during the outdoor season.

Boys 1600

Chad Stirling (Charlotte Catholic) and Joel Shores (Southeast Guilford) will square off with Daniel Hurren (Broome, SC) and Ben Ebert (Hough) looking to score an upset.  Stirling has run 4:22 this outdoor season.  Shores took 2nd indoors in the 1000 and has run 1:57 for 800 this outdoor season.

Girls High Jump

Two of the best High Jumpers in North Carolina will square off once again in Kenya Livingston (Rocky River) and Kayla Nesbitt-McEwen (High Point Central).  Can Nesbitt McEwen take down Livingston on her home track?
