Chantz Sawyers emerged in 2016 setting the state lead in both the 200 and 400 in his junior season. Sawyers ran 46.64 and 21.26 and was able to bring home a 4th place All-American finish at New Balance Outdoor Nationals running just over his PR with a time of 46.87. Sawyers was dominant at the NCISAA 3A State Championships sweeping the 200 and 400 for the second year in a row. Sawyers has a big senior season ahead of him and reflects on his 2016 season.
