Boys 100/200
4A State Champion and NC#1 in the 100 meters Cravont Charleston (Mallard Creek) will look to repeat and improve on his fourth place All-American finish from last year. Charleston ran 10.38 setting a new PR at this years state meet and will be ready to blast a fast time on Saturday. Jaylan Mitchell (Hillside) also set a PR at the state meet where he finished 5th and ran a 10.72 prelim and 10.73 final. Charleston will double back in the 200, but is much more known for his 100 marks and is the only NC boys entered in the field.
Girls 100/200
Tamara Clark (HP Central) put on a show once again at the 4A State Championships winning the 100 in 10.52 NC#2 time, which was a PR. She was a few spots out of making finals last season and will look to avenge that. Charminiqu Hackney sits at NC#3 with an 11.54 on the season.
