At this meet last year, we learned just how good Anna Cockrell could be. Who will be the breakout star at this year's event?
Although indoor season has been underway for a while now (and winter track for even longer), this weekend brings us the first truly big indoor high school invitational of the North Carolina season. That means this is the first big opportunity for up-and-coming runners to make names for themselves in competition against some of the giants of our state. In addition, there is an interesting story line to this meet: several prominent athletes have switched teams since last year (more than I remember in recent years), and that may have changed the balance of team power for both boys and girls.
