In case you don't remember from last winter, the MileSplit indoor rankings really mean "indoor." That is, the rankings subscribers can access from the navigation bar do not include any "Polar Bear" meets (those run on outdoor tracks). To fill this gap in a state like North Carolina, we will post rankings articles throughout the winter season to highlight the top outdoor "winter track" performances. We will alternate between the Polar Bear Top 25 (this week) and complete lists of state qualifiers using both indoor & outdoor marks (next week).
