As always, we had high expectations for this years Dash for Doobie. We saw 54 boys break 10 minutes and 52 girls under 12 minutes, including 6 under 11.  We were able to capture the last 6 heats of the boys and all of the girls races on video. Big thank you to Reagan and Hoka One One for putting on a fantastic event!

Throughout the first mile the whole field remained in contention with many runners shuffling around.  Early leaders consisted of Derek Duin (Apex), Conner Lane (Cardinal Gibbons), Kenny Kneisel (Mt. Tabor), and Mitchell Resor (Weddington).  We saw a slow first 800, but once the runners realized they were off pace the pace drastically picked up.  As they entered the final 1600 Resor, Kneisel, and Lane began to break away from the field.  The three remained close until the 600 when Kneisel made his move and got a gap on Lane.  After the move was made there was no looking back for Kneisel as he held on ...
