Miller Meares has been the best of the state's private-school runners all season, but now it comes down to who can be the best on Friday at McAlpine.
The 2015 NCISAA cross country season comes to a close on Friday with the State Championships for all three classifications. North Carolina's private school association rotates the meet between the four regions of the state, and this year it is being held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte. NCRunners will be on-site for photo, video, and interview coverage of what has always been both an entertaining meet and a vibrant celebration of competition in general, and running in particular. If you're in the area Friday, and you've never been to an NCISAA state meet, I recommend it highly - the atmosphere is wonderful, and you won't regret the time you spend.
